Stockholm Veteran Thomas Bennborn produced the most
eye-catching results in the third round of British League Premier
Division matches. Ellenborough’s ace-defender looked to be
dead and buried against DHS London Progress’s Colum Slevin
when he trailed 10-7 in the fifth end

If DHS London Progress I retain their British League Premier Division
title they may well look back on the afternoon of Sunday 23 September
2007 as being the pivotal point of their Season. Results had not
gone their way at all and with a determined Craig Howieson beating

Gareth Herbert Turns on the Style
TTK Greenhouse’s Gareth Herbert, still one of the country’s
most inventive and talented players produced the strongest performance
in the second round of British League Premier Division matches.
The scores speak for themselves and Gareth was relatively untroubled
as he beat Ellenborough’s Lorestas Trumpauskas 11-3, 11-6,
11-6 and Jon Nilsson 11-2, 11-6, 11-8.

RICHARD ANDREWS STEALS THE SHOW
Kingfisher Reading's Richard Andrews, a first year Junior stole
the show in the first weekend of non Premier Division British League
matches as his eight singles wins helped his team Kingfisher Reading
into pole position in Division Two South & Midlands. Excellent
victories these were as well, as Richard bagged the scalps of such
notable players as John Robinson, Jason Tendler, Peter Bartram and
best of all - Nick Mason.

Start of British League Premier Action
British League Premier Division action kicks off next weekend (Saturday/Sunday
22/23 September 2007) at the DHS London Progress Tournament Centre,
Southall College, Beaconsfield Road, Southall, Middlesex, UB1 IDP
at 11.00 o'clock on the Saturday and at 10.00 o'clock on the Sunday.
